6/6 Small Talk Six

The ladies of Momdot are at it again with a new weekly meme called Small Talk Six. Every Saturday a new topic is announced and you respond to each topic with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 photos, or 6 paragraphs, whatever your heart desires. You can check out the Small Talk Six announcement to see all of the pre-scheduled topics for 2009. Don’t forget to stop by and see this weeks responses at MomDot and link up your own.

This week is 6 things about your children that you are proud of.

1. Their intelligence. My kids are really smart. My son graduated high school without ever having any homework and my daughters all finished high school as a junior and used their senior year to take college courses. My little girls are just as smart and are excelling too. Libby is 4 and still has one year of preschool, but she is already at 1st grade level. Amber is 6 and at a 3rd grade reading level.

2. Their loving and caring personalities. All of my kids are caring loving individuals. They love animals, babies, other kids and always want to make sure everyone and everything around them is taken care of and happy. They never belonged to any of the cliques in school, and although they were cheerleaders and big in sports, they were friends with everyone from the top jocks to the shyest kids in the school. They would never stand for anyone to be made fun of in front of them and always stick up for the underdog.

3. That they are all givers and happy to be doing it. They would all give the shirt off their back to help someone less fortunate than temselves. They are all happiest when helping someone else out and seem much happier giving than recieving.

4. That they are strong and self asurred. Again they will always stand up for the underdog. They have strong wills and personalities and never back down when they know they are right. They have the courage and stamina to try again and again instead of giving up when it gets hard. They don't do something just because someone else is doing it and they absolutely know right from wrong and don't mind telling you if what they think what you are doing is wrong and expecting others to be intelligent enough to change the behavior.

5. That they are respectful and respectable. My kids have impecable manners. They know to address someone older than them selves respectively and they also respect themselves and those around them. They are all aware of what is around them and don't hesitate to jump in and say something if they think someone is being unrespectful.

6. Their inner beauty. They are all beautiful on the outside too, but the inner beauty is what counts. I have the most beautiful children in the world. They have inner beauty though and that is what I think counts. You can have someone pretty on the outside, but if their personality or soul is ugly then it goes clear to the bone. My kids have never tried to make it by in life on their looks even though they could. They are kind, spiritual and loving even in the worst of circumstances.

I am really proud of my kids!!!
